Dolphin Encounters at Koombana Bay
Koombana Bay is a natural haven for bottlenose dolphins, with 100–150 often spotted in the area. Swim alongside them with the Dolphin Discovery Centre, hop on a 1.5-hour eco cruise, or explore the interpretive centre for a closer look—no wetsuit required.
Wardandi Boodja Sculpture
Overlooking Koombana Bay, the striking Wardandi Boodja sculpture stands 5.5 metres tall. Created by local artists Alex and Nicole Mickle of Safehaven Studios with engineer Mike Kimble, the steel Noongar face was commissioned by the City of Bunbury and officially unveiled in February 2019.

Add Bunbury’s lookouts to your must-do list. Take the short, steep climb up Marlston Hill Lookout for 360° views, or tackle Boulters Heights for a tougher ascent and epic city scenery. For something new, Koombana Park Lookout offers sweeping views over Leschenault Inlet, the Mangrove Boardwalk, and Koombana Bay.

Stroll along one of Bunbury’s most loved streets. Victoria Street is packed with independent boutiques, great food spots, cozy bars, and prime people-watching. Built in the 1880s, King Cottage offers a snapshot of Bunbury life from the 1880s to the 1950s. Just five minutes from the city centre, explore furnished rooms, historic artefacts, vintage photos, and outdoor displays of tools, vehicles, and maritime items—all curated by the Bunbury Historical Society.
